The Medical Centre Port Kennedy is located 15 minutes south of Rockingham, on the beautiful WA coastline. You can enjoy swimming, water skiing or fishing in the nearby beaches and estuaries, watch dolphins play off the coast, or take a walk through the sand dunes to the beaches or parks within the area.
The centre is perfectly located to provide General Practice / Family Medicine to the growing residential population in Port Kennedy and the surrounding suburbs. The area has seen the residential population dramatically increase, and with much new development the clinic is well located to provide medical services to companies and individual private patients.
Job Description
Full Time General Practitioner required to meet patient demand. Approximately 40 hours of consulting per week across the clinic open hours.
Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday 0830 – 1900
Friday 0830 – 1700
Saturday 0830 – 1300
Practice Infrastructure
There are 8 standard consult rooms, 1 theatre room for minor procedures and a 4 bay treatment area with a large nurse’s station.
Gemini Medical Centre Port Kennedy also has a central computerised database to cover all aspects of General Practice, from prescription writing and consultation notes through to pathology and imaging requests and results.
As part of our commitment to ensure quality, patient care we have established an efficient re-call system for patients to help manage:
- Immunisations
- Cholesterol
- Pap Smears
- Blood Pressure
- Influenza Vaccines
- Care plans
Standard appointments are booked at intervals of 10 -15 minutes. After Hours and Emergency care requirements are directed to WADEMS - an after hour Locum Service.
‘MedTech’ software is used for clinical records and accounting management. This is a paperless practice.
Support
A nurse is on duty at all times during the week. Nurses assist GP’s with Care Plans,Health Assessments procedures, and A&E.
