King Island
King Island is a beautiful island located in the Bass Straight between Tasmania and mainland Australia. The island has excellent beaches offering surfing and snorkelling, fine fresh produce and amazing adventures await you in this remote location. Working in King Island also offers you the opportunity to reduce your 10 year moratorium to 5 years.
The only way you can get to the Island is by plane, but don't let this stop you from experiencing the peace and quiet of Island life! On King Island the local "wave" as you go by is a way of life and the only traffic delays you will come across are wallabies, turkeys, possums and pheasants, to name a few.
An island rich in history, with shipwrecks, lighthouses and jagged reefs, bountiful with long stretching sandy beaches and lush green pasture. From this little paradise they produce some of Australia's finest natural foods including beef, cheese, crayfish & abalone, yet there is more to this 64km long by 27km wide stretch of land than first meets the eye.
