Through the education arm of our service, we have developed a separate educational programme called Meducation. The programme is provided in collaboration with the Australian College of Rural and Remote medicine to enable International Medical Graduates to avail of a facility which recognises prior learning and experience as part of an accelerated independent pathway which will lead to a specialist Australian GP qualification. We are endeavouring to have this programme also recognised by the Irish Medical Council.

An alternative Pathway to GP Specialist Training using ACRRM Curriculum hosted academically in Australia and/or Ireland. This will be delivered in GP training practices, transcending International Borders linking Australia / Ireland / South Africa and equivalent Health Systems.

The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is the main professional college for rural medical education and training in Australia, which delivers training towards the Fellowship of ACRRM (FACRRM). It’s members include rural practitioners from a wide range of specialties and we are endeavouring to ensure that the programme will be delivered in GP training practices, transcending International Borders linking Australia / Ireland / South Africa and equivalent Health Systems.
